This page is under construction as are the pages below. At this time there is no estimated date of completion. I am a work in process. Check back often. When my late husband, Bob Glover, and I were married in 1978 we made a decision to write together. We moved to Tucson, AZ, and began work on a book. Soon thereafter we met a comedian GENE MITCHENER and became his personal managers and writers. Together the three of us wrote 102 cartoons for a comic strip named GENE. We all moved to Los Angeles in 1980 at the urging of Gary Marshall (producer of HAPPY DAYS). His staff was helpful in teaching us the ropes. Bob and I, as a class project, co-wrote a 2-act musical comedy (MY, HOW YOU'VE CHANGED!) which ran eight weeks onstage in L.A. (Bob and I even wrote music and lyrics for four of the songs). We attended screenwriting classes at UCLA evening program to polish our craft. We co-wrote a screenplay entitled THE MODEL BUILDER, and about 20 series television scripts and pilots as practice to hone our skills. We also produced a television pilot of THE GENE MITCHENER VARIETY SHOW and we produced a nightclub show starring Gene that ran 17 weeks at THE HORN nightclub in Santa Monica. Five years in the entertainment industry was enough for us so we bailed out and moved to Coronado Island, off the coast of San Diego, then back to Tucson. With Bob's unexpected death in 1985, I closed the file cabinet drawer on our writings. I have just recently decided to open that drawer and rewrite our scripts as needed and submit them for sale and production.
